SSAA 2012 National 10 Metre Precision Scoped Air Rifle Postal Competition
Win a SSAA Contrail Swag King Single – measures 2m X 900mm, features a mozzie net and
a 50mm mattress donated by the SSAA Store
To be shot in accordance with official SSAA Rule Book #2 for 10 Metre Air Rifle competitions between 1 July 2012 and 30 September 2012. All competitors must be current SSAA members.
Targets showing competitor’s name, address, SSAA member number and expiry, date shot and grade clearly written on each target and signed by the Range Officer are to be sent to your local State Field Rifle / 3Positional /Scoped Air Rifle Discipline Chairman.
Entry fee is $5 for each set of match targets submitted. Any targets received without an entry fee will not be accepted. (Proceeds from entry fees go to the National Field Rifle and 3 Positional Discipline Fund – enter as many sets of targets as you wish and support your discipline.)
Awards for first, second and third place in each grade. Award categories for Juniors <15 and Juniors <18. Junior competitors to include age on your targets. Juniors may win a grade award as well as a junior age category award. Competitors will be entered for each set of targets they submit, in a free draw for the SSAA Swag donated by the SSAA Store.

The SSAA invite all who are interested to attend the Cowboy Lever Action Silhouette State Championships on Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th March 2012 at the SSAA Moonta Range, located 4.5 kms (S.E.) from Moonta on the Arthurton Road. (Sign on corner of Royal Hotel & Bowling Green in Moonta).

80 shots Pistol Calibre
All matches will be shot in accordance with the current Rifle Metallic Silhouette rulebook. The current rule book can be found Here
Nominations will be $15.00 per 40 shots. 80 shot Pistol calibre will be $20.00.
Total cost for the 3 gun will be $40.00.
Pre-nominations would be appreciated before Friday 24th February to assist with match organisation and catering. Starting time on Match days will be 9.00am.

Local range rules state that whilst uncased and not in use ALL firearms will have an Empty Chamber Indicator inserted into the chamber. Empty Chamber Indicators will be available for purchase from the canteen.
Camping will be allowed on the range, toilets available. Hotels and/or caravan parks in Moonta, Moonta Bay and Port Hughes.
There will be a canteen running during the matches for drinks and snacks. Steak sandwiches available for lunch both days. Saturday night BBQ with salads and sweets available.

Range open for rifle certification / weigh in at 7.30am each competition day. Shooters match briefing at 8.00am followed by sighting in for 30 minutes. Match commences after sighting in.
Membership and Grading cards required at rifle certification/weigh in
Nomination Fees $15 per event. Five or more events $75
Juniors/Pensioners ½ price

Canteen facility at range – light meals, snacks, tea, coffee, drinks available all day.

Local Branch range rules apply. Empty Chamber Indicators must be used to show firearms have been cleared. No bolt is to be closed unless the firearm is pointed in the direction of the target – applies to all matches including Field Rifle rapid fire. Uncased firearms are not to be handled in the car park.

300 metre black powder match
Location SSAA Para, Rife Range Road Greenwith
All details are 45 minutes, black powder and traditional (iron) sights only.
Shooting jackets, slings and gloves allowed.
10.00 am Sighting in, (time as required)
10.30 am OPEN BENCHREST- black powder cartridge or M/L
12.00 noon PRONE or SITTING POST - black powder cartridge or M/L
Nominations $10.00 BBQ after the match.
Depending on nominations/time we may shoot an additional event
300m Minie (Class 1 rifle) prone. This may take the form of an individual shoot or a team shoot. Please let us know if you are interested in shooting this event when replying
As we only have 8 targets at 300 metres, and for catering purposes please send a return e-mail if you intend taking part.
